Scientists were able to establish the cause of constant miscarriages

Some women have spontaneous abortions can occur one after the other with each pregnancy, although doctors do not reveal they have no reproductive disorders. But British researchers managed to determine the cause of this phenomenon.

About 1% of pregnant women observed the so-called habitual miscarriage – several miscarriages in a row.

There are many hypotheses regarding the causes of this sad phenomenon of depriving women the joys of motherhood, and scientists at the University of Warwick (Warwick University) argued that the habitual loss of pregnancy, as they call the pathology physicians, due to a lack of stem cells in the lining of the uterus.

Scientists from Warwick examined the tissue samples of the endometrium, of the uterine mucous membrane lining this organ from the inside, which were obtained from 183 patients who applied to University hospital for medical advice about miscarriages.

Each of the study participants had previously been no less than 3 spontaneous abortions.

The researchers found in almost all samples of almost complete absence, a special kind of stem cells. Meanwhile, in samples obtained from women in the control group, each of which gave birth to no less than 2 children, these cells were available in sufficient quantity.

The authors of this discovery suggest a method for its practical use. First, a random sample of mucous endometrium, carried out before pregnancy, will help to identify women at risk. These women during pregnancy should be observed at the doctor carefully.

Secondly, scientists from Warwick and offer a method that will significantly improve the chances of women at risk for successful nurturing.

To do this, before planned conception should undergo a scarification of the endometrium. Deliberate minor damage to the lining of the uterus will cause a specific reaction of the organism and will increase the number of stem cells in the endometrium.

A similar method is already used in some clinics of reproductive medicine in the IVF procedure – it increases the chances of a successful attachment of a fertilized egg to the uterine wall.
