Russia partially cuts off the supply of oil products to Belarus
In the document it was assumed that, Russia needs to supply to Belarus 24 million tons of oil in response to 1 mln tons of gasoline from Belarus. However, the claimed amounts with the Belarusian side have not been implemented — Minsk explained it too low cost in fuel.
«In 2015, Belarus supplied only 44% of the planned volumes», — said the head of Ministry Alexander Novak.
In connection with the situation in February was convened the Commission on energy, during which it was recommended to «respond symmetrically» and also to suspend fuel supplies to Belarus.
«The Commission is tak 17 February, indeed decided to give such a recommendation. Some companies even before the meeting has suspended deliveries because the current situation leads to a reduction of income to the Russian budget,» — told RIA Novosti press Secretary Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, who heads the Commission, adding that with the recommendations, in particular, agreed on the leadership of «Gazprom» and «Tatneft».
Commenting on the situation with the «supply imbalance», RBC experts believe that
the company, developing the supply of petroleum products, has won twice: to minimize taxes, as deliveries to Belarus are not exporting, and earned.
«The first two months of 2016 to supply gasoline to Belarus, where the prices at the gas station almost European, it was cheaper than the Russian gas stations», — told the experts.
